Miami, December 8, 2014 – Last Friday, FriendsWithYou X Grey Area hosted a poolside party at Soho Beach House to debut POOL PARTY, a limited edition collection of pool toys curated by Grey Area in collaboration with FriendsWithYou. From a giant googly-eyed rock by FriendsWithYou, to a rainbow colored intergalactic wheel by Jen Stark, to a pair of oversized pink breasts by Misaki Kawai, to a seven-and-half-foot tall basketball player by Devon Troy Strother, the inflatable sculptures expand the limit of how art can be experienced.
Adding a whimsical vibe to the afternoon, friends, guests, and Soho House members cooled off in the pool, interacting and lounging on the floats. The afternoon was complete with music by Chances with Wolves and an interactive photo booth. Among those in attendance were Grey Area’s Kyle DeWoody, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III of FriendsWithYou and all artists featured within the collaboration.
Spotify hosted a luncheon for their Spotify Experts, The Tent at Soho Beach House hosted a Late Night Lounge, with music by Questlove and Bombay Sapphire cocktails flowed throughout the night. BMW i3’s were again on hand for Soho House members and hotel guests, offering transportation to and from festival happenings. Bombay Sapphire guests enjoyed signature cocktails and the chance to interact with a unique art installation by Kenton Parker: My First Kiss.
Spotify offered a dedication station to invite Soho House members and hotel guests to gain first hand experience of Spotify via their own Spotify Experts. Featuring specially crafted playlists uniquely curated by artists showing during Art Basel, Soho House followers on Spotify will have access to all playlists Here. Spotify also tapped artists to create playlists available for guests partaking in the BMW car service.
