Hollywood, March 14, 2014 – AMC just released their final season poster, trailer, and portraits for season seven of Mad Men. The poster was created by renowned artist Milton Glaser and the imagery plays on recurring themes from the upcoming series set to premiere on April 13th.
In addition to the psychedelic poster, AMC has just released a set of portraits and trailer of the Mad Men cast in fashion designed and styled by Janie Bryant and shot by Frank Ockenfels. Word on the street is that the final season takes place in 1969.
This was a time of transition between fashion of the 1960s and the 1970s. The 1970s began with a continuation of the mini skirts, bell-bottoms and the androgynous hippie look of the 1960s and transitioned into several distinct fashion trends that have left an indelible image of the decade commemorated in popular culture. I doubt we’ll see any disco fashion but bring on the polyester! It’ll be interesting to see the fashion evolution play out.
Here’s a preview of some season seven fashion featuring: Don Draper (Jon Hamm), Megan Draper (Jessica Paré), Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) and Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser).
